That's exactly what Alex Mack did at Crowley College Grounds, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 15-11. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Mack said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Texas A&M Aggies catcher blistered the Mississippi State Bulldogs for 5 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 4 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Mississippi State manager Pat Sheffield said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Alex Mack singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off David Baker in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Jake Mills in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Ken McConnell in the 10th. In his season totals, Mack has 15 home runs, .377 BA, .449 OBP, 36 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 27 games. |
