Gamecocks Dominy to Miss Year Saturday, April 29th , 2062 The doctors have spoken and Chad Dominy of the South Carolina Gamecocks didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Dominy sustained his season-ending injury during the Miami Hurricanes game yesterday at Gremlins Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the South Carolina medical staff reported Dominy had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5-6 months. This year, Chad Dominy has been credited with 8 saves. In 13 relief appearances and 14.1 innings pitched, he has a 0-0 won-lost mark, 1.88 ERA and 22 strikeouts |
