Harrison Socks It to Tar Heels, Cracks 5 Hits
Monday, May 1st , 2062
It was a good day for the Yellow Jackets at Castles Ballpark as they clipped the North Carolina Tar Heels, 21-10. It was tremendous day for Herb Harrison, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6.
"I don't know what to call that," the Georgia Tech catcher told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well."
Herb Harrison singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Danny Armstrong in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ayele Ayodele in the 5th and flied out in the 6th.
This year, Harrison is hitting .229 with 8 home runs and 32 RBIs in 35 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .359 with 18 walks and 20 runs scored.
