Montreal Devastated by Playoff Elimination Wednesday, April 12th , 2062 Montreal Royales manager Jon Miron said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for a spot in the postseason. The Royales have missed the playoffs 31 times in their 51 years as a CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2055. In the last 10 seasons, the Royales have made the playoffs 4 times. Montreal last won the Canadian Baseball League Championship in 2055. |
