Niagara Wins Canadian Baseball League Championship Crown Sunday, April 23rd , 2062 It's party time in Niagara. The confetti is flying and residents are smiling. The Niagara Stars have reached the mountaintop, capturing the 2062 Canadian Baseball League Championship today. They defeated the Victoria Capitals 5-4 at Drummondville College Grounds to officially wrap up the series 4-2. Asked how it feels to be a champion, shortstop Luke Aastrom was to the point. "It feels great, like a million bucks. I'm so happy right now, not just for me but for all the guys," he said. "We put a lot of work into this and deserve to be champions." The team is planning a victory parade and fan appreciation day later in the week. Niagara finished the regular season 40-16 and claimed first place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.
