Monday, May 8th , 2062
He may have less experience than most of his CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE peers, but that didn't slow Ed Buell down at all in 2062.
At the age of 18, the Niagara center fielder has been named the winner of the CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .399 batting average and a .507 on-base percentage this year. In 56 games he piled up 99 hits, 24 doubles, 5 triples, 23 home runs, 76 RBIs and 78 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 8. Arvin Lent of the Niagara Stars finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Wade Gosselin of the Kelowna Heat finished third with 1 first place vote.
