Duffy Sidelined for 5 Weeks Monday, April 17th , 2062 Terra Linda fans will be disappointed to learn that Mike Duffy suffered a fractured thumb while colliding with a player at a base in today's game. After the doctor informed the Terra Linda Trojans manager that Duffy was expected to miss 5 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the first baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper. Hitting .354 to date, Duffy has 7 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 38 games. |
