Grijalva Goes 6-for-6
Wednesday, May 21st , 2064
Victoria second baseman Pablo Grijalva could do no wrong in his team's 14-2 win over the Timbers, as he collected 6 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Timbers skipper Jian-guo Yang said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Grijalva agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Pablo Grijalva singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Felix Samano in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This season, Grijalva is batting .384 with 5 home runs.
