Totems Wekesa Bidouane to Miss Year
Wednesday, May 28th , 2064
The doctors have spoken and Wekesa Bidouane of the Victoria Totems didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bidouane sustained his season-ending injury during the Normal Nutcrackers game yesterday at The Nutcracker Suite. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Victoria medical staff reported Bidouane had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11-12 months.
This season, Bidouane has chalked up a 2.84 ERA while ringing up 1 save with no wins and 1 loss. He has made 8 relief appearances, pitching 19 innings, giving up 17 hits, and holding opponents to a .246 batting average. Bidouane has also recorded 16 strikeouts and allowed 12 walks.
