5-Hit Game for Salinas Wednesday, May 28th , 2064 Prince George second baseman Ruben Salinas added his name to the record books with a 5-hit spree at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker, but found his special moment spoiled when the Easton Caterpillars took a shootout win, 26-23, over the Cougars. "I would have much preferred getting only a couple of hits and winning the game," he confessed to reporters afterward. "It's hard to go back into the clubhouse and celebrate a 5-hit game when you also lost." Cougars manager Sergio MartÃnez called Salinas's game "a once-in-a-lifetime moment." "It's a shame the guy can't really enjoy it," the skipper said. "It's also a shame what happened with our pitching, but at least that we can try to fix." Ruben Salinas singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Manny Rosario in the 9th.
