Toohey Hits in 25 Straight Games Friday, September 12th , 2064 Ben Toohey of the Easton Caterpillars tagged 1 hit in today's 32-4 loss to the Caribbean Commies at Castro Field to run his hitting streak to 25 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 25-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Ben Toohey hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season, Toohey is batting .376 with 2 home runs. |
