The Tonga G.o.D picked up a win at Isle of Destiny, knocking off the Dallas Texans, 3-1. On the mound for Tonga was right-hander Fidel Cardona, who played a pivotal role in the win. The loss lowers the Dallas record to 3-5.

The G.o.D got a big hit from second baseman Raul Mendoza. In the bottom of the eighth, Mendoza pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 1st double of the season put the G.o.D ahead, 2-1.

"Good win for us," said Mendoza. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
