|
Silicon Valley designated hitter Rich Gamez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Louisiana at The Swamp. Gamez went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Chris Schmidt in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jose Gil took the loss. With the win, the Crocodiles improved to 17-19.
Louisiana pinch hitter Franky Blom had a nice game. In the bottom of the eighth inning with two out, he belted a 2-run home run for the Crocodiles. It made the score 5-4, Louisiana. For the game, Blom went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Silicon Valley manager Pat Thompson.
