The Quebec Armada weathered a fine game by Kansas City right fielder Mike Hernandez to upend the Tornadoes, 14-5, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Hernandez was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Quebec now owns a record of 15-22.

Quebec left fielder John Bramante contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a knuckleball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Armada ahead, 3-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Quebec manager Ramu Pavi.
