|
Louisiana starter Eddie Ramos pitched effectively against the Kelowna Rockets at The Swamp. The right-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. Ramos went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-11. The 5th-place Crocodiles lifted their record to 71-89.
Louisiana took a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, center fielder Julio Yanez hit a grand slam home run that electrified the crowd.
"We played hard and won," said Ramos. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
