Niagara Falls Breaks Through for First Win in Divisional Series; Now Trails 3-1
|
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Rock River Rats, winning, 3-1, at Pipe Fitters Park. Pipe Fitters right-hander Wu-shiun Kim threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Pipe Fitters to 3-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Kim, a native of Tainan, Taiwan, was dealing all game. He kept Rock River hitters off-balance, while giving the Pipe Fitters 7.2 quality innings. Kim threw 124 pitches, allowing 6 hits and striking out 8.
"It was a good effort all around," said Kim.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pipe Fitters Park in Niagara Falls.
