Behind the bravura of pinch hitter Joe Howser, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the Spokane Bulldogs by the score of 7-3. Howser was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Beetlecats. Buzzard's Bay reliever John Peters snagged the win, upping his record to 5-6. Caleb Newsom shouldered the loss. The last-place Bulldogs have lost 4 straight games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with the score tied, Howser hammered a grand slam home run to win it for Buzzard's Bay.
