Bishops Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win

The Evanston Bishops earned a close win over the Beaumont Drillers, thanks in part to Willis Paulino. The Evanston left-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The 4th-place Bishops improved to 72-73.
Had Tom Castro not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Castro hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bishops.
"Willis did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Evanston manager Harold Planter.
