Pipe Fitters Capture Extra-Inning Win
Sandy Springs got a terrific performance from pitcher Gomez Roches, but it wasn't enough to beat the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. Niagara Falls won the Pipe Fitters Park contest, 3-2. Roches threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. With the win, Niagara Falls pushed its record to 89-58.

The Pipe Fitters got a clutch hit from second baseman Sesto Avellino. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pipe Fitters.

"The crowd was juiced," said Avellino.
