Win Makes Evanston 88-60
|
The game between Evanston and Wauwatosa is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Evanston Bishops bested the Wauwatosa Indians, 10-5, at FUBU Field. Adam Rummer was one of the standouts. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Alberto Calderon earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 5 runs on 5 hits in 4.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0.
Evanston took the lead, 8-5, on Art Long's 16th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Long hit in the bottom of the seventh, made Wauwatosa pitcher Mike Erpenbach wince.
"I still think this team can play even better," Long told the Evanston Bulletin.
The Bishops bumped their record to 88-60 with this win.
