Poapst Hits Two Homers in 9-5 Win for Silicon Valley
Good production from shortstop Brock Poapst helped the Silicon Valley Hackers topple the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 9-5. Poapst belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Hackers. Gustavo Castro snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Andy Jones suffered the loss. The Mountaineers have now dropped 5 straight.

The Hackers got a big boost from first baseman Keith Peterson who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Mountaineers hurler Andy Jones. It was his 89th walk of the season and put Silicon Valley on top, 1-0.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Hackers manager Brad Jones, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
