In a tight tilt between the Fraser Valley Black Bears and the Wichita Wolverines, Chris Roberts was the difference-maker. The Fraser Valley left-hander excelled in his team's 2-1 win in 10 innings. Fraser Valley reliever Armando Gimenez, who leads the TAA in saves with 42, was credited with the win. His record goes to 5-8. Steve Saeger took the loss for Wichita. The win hiked the Fraser Valley record to 82-69.

Fraser Valley got a clutch hit from Dave Park. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"This game tested our mettle," said Roberts.
