Pacifica Tumbles Again, Falls, 6-1, to Louisiana
|
Louisiana starter Drew Young put a stranglehold on the Pacifica offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Crocodiles to a 6-1 win. Young, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Louisiana.
Louisiana used the hitting of Pat McDaniel to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crocodiles on top, 3-0. For the game, McDaniel had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Drew gave us a heck of an effort," said Louisiana manager Peter McColgan.
