DeKalb Beats Roaring River in 10-Inning Thriller
The Roaring River Steelheads could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Davian Viteka into a win. Instead, the DeKalb Cornhuskers prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. Viteka threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. DeKalb reliever Joey Lizotte was the winner. His record is now 6-6. Vic Rockburn took the loss. At 72-84, the Cornhuskers are currently 6th in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division.

DeKalb used a timely hit from Marshall Blumberg to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cornhuskers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"That was fun, that was just good baseball," said Blumberg.
