The Louisiana Crocodiles converted a terrific effort from starter Bill Purcell into a win over the Frisco Rams at The Swamp. The Crocodiles won the game by a final score of 9-0. The Rams, now 74-83, have lost 4 in a row.

Kelyn Marion had a big 2-run double for the Crocodiles in the bottom of the third inning. With Louisiana leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Brendan Loos, who is tied for 10th in the RAA in wins with 12, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crocodiles ahead, 4-0.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Purcell.
