Big Day by Tamburrino Ignites Indians Win
|
No one was more impactful than Carlo Tamburrino in the 8-3 Wauwatosa win over Adirondack. Tamburrino, who is tied for 9th in the TAA in runs scored with 95, was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Kaoru Sakamoto earned the win for Wauwatosa. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 15-7. Wauwatosa has now won 4 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Angelo Becerra? The Wauwatosa first baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Indians on top, 4-0. For the game, Becerra had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
In comments to the Wauwatosa Times, Tamburrino admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
