2062 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Carson City Mustang.

The Boise Hawks had to overcome a big game from Carson City designated hitter Dwayne Stuart to leave Basque Block Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-6. Stuart went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Juan Moreno earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-17.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Kenny Forbush came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Carson City pitcher Damien Lamboglio, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Boise on top, 8-6.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Forbush told the Boise Citizen.

With the win, the Hawks are 45-113.
