Beetlecats Slip Past Canucks, 6-4
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats and Moose Jaw Canucks came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats faced a tough opponent in Moose Jaw pitcher Michael Slater, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Coffee Grinder by a final score of 6-4. Slater went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Robby Medlin picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 14-10. Joe Keefer was tagged with the loss.

Buzzard's Bay took a 6-4 lead on Gus Ruiz's 22nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ruiz hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Moose Jaw pitcher Greg Ruff shaking his head.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ruiz said.

After today's action, Buzzard's Bay sits at 103-56; Moose Jaw slips to 111-48.
