The Black Mountain Mountaineers topped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 6-2, in RCL AA action at McCormick Field. The standout performance belonged to Black Mountain pitcher and Burbank (Los Angeles County), California, native Andy Jones. In 8 innings, Jones surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Black Mountain has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Black Mountain used the timely hitting of Ryan Chitwood to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mountaineers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
