Mountaineers Take Tight Tangle
Pitcher Nick Bivins was sensational for the Black Mountain Mountaineers in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Marysville Monarchs. Bivins earned the win. Bivins, who is tied for 9th in the RAA in complete games with 4, went the distance for Black Mountain. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. The 4th-place Monarchs have dropped 5 straight games.

The Mountaineers got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Coleman Lockyer. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mountaineers.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Lockyer.
