The Marysville Monarchs faced a tough opponent in Roaring River pitcher Evan Gerber, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mitts Fieldhouse by a final score of 8-4. Gerber went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Marysville reliever Don Colvin was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-3. Vic Rockburn took the loss for Roaring River. The losses continue to add up for Roaring River, having now dropped 8 straight.

Marysville got a clutch hit from Marco Moreno. The pinch hitter launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
