The 2063 season is off to a good start for the Murraysville Peacocks. The hometown Peacocks knocked off the Boise Hawks, 3-1, at Red Bull Stadium. Murraysville pitcher Alex McCarter paced his team to the win.
Had Sean Manns not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Manns hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Peacocks.
"Alex is good at sticking to his strengths," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley.
