The timely hitting of Pat McDaniel helped the Louisiana Crocodiles take down the Silicon Valley Hackers, 16-8, in 12 innings. McDaniel went 2 for 5 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Crocodiles. With the loss, Silicon Valley falls to 2-1.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Juan Tejeiro came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Silicon Valley pitcher Ron Williams, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Louisiana on top, 9-8.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Crocodiles manager Peter McColgan.
