|
Silicon Valley got a big-time effort from pitcher Jairo Padilla, but it wasn't enough to keep the Murraysville Peacocks from winning the game, 3-1. Padilla came in in relief and pitched to 31 batters for the losing team. Earning his 1st save of the year was Alan Jackson. With the loss, Silicon Valley is 3-6.
Murraysville catcher Chad McKee contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Peacocks ahead, 1-0.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," McKee said.
