Spokane Bulldogs starter Carlos Montelongo kept the Wichita Wolverines hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The Wolverines, now 3-8, continue their inauspicious start.

Nick Rivard was 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs for Spokane. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a 2-run single off Sterling Livengood. It was his 4th hit of the season.
