Murraysville Peacocks starter Nick Tullo was on his game, helping his team beat the Evanston Bishops, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Tullo, now 1-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 6.

Jalen Thompson was 1-3 with a walk for Murraysville. The 22-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Lorenzo Rodriguez. It was his 6th hit of the season.

"Nick did a good job mixing and matching," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley.
