Fraser Valley Beats Sandy Springs, 10-6
Due in large part to third baseman Billy Zack, the Fraser Valley Black Bears sunk the Sandy Springs Spartans, 10-6. Zack was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was 23-year old right-handed pitcher German Pineda. He tossed 95 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. The win puts Fraser Valley at 9-5.

Fraser Valley used a clutch at-bat from Alex Flores to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Black Bears ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Flores said. "We did a good job of that today."
