Buzzard's Bay got a valiant performance from pitcher Phil Jackson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pacifica Shamrocks. Pacifica won the game, 5-1. Jackson threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Pacifica reliever Edwin Mendiola picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose Gonzalez absorbed the loss. The Shamrocks with just their 4th win in 16 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Pacifica got a knockout punch from Bob Bacallao. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Shamrocks manager Pedro Mercado.
