The Carson City Mustang weathered a fine game by Madison third baseman Greg Warden to upend the Beehive, 10-8, at Cowboys Stadium. Warden was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Cory Bossert was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 5 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Matt Nicholas earned his 7th save, after closing out the game.

Christian Lynn, who is tied for 2nd in the TAA in extra base hits with 9, came through for Carson City with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the first. The right fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 4 runs batted in.

"When you put in the effort and you get really focused, the results come in ways you're not even expecting," said Mustang manager Orinosuke Matsuoka.
