No one was more impactful than Matthew Tucker in the 10-3 DeKalb win over Evanston. Tucker, who is tied for 8th in the TAA in extra base hits with 8, was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Bishops, 8-9, continue their sluggish start to the 2064 campaign.

The Bishops had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Cornhuskers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Jeremy Cunningham came to the plate. Cunningham hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 slider from Evanston hurler Symão Alegro. It was Cunningham's 2nd double of the year.

"This team has the heart of a lion," said Cornhuskers manager Trey Burrell.
