Kelowna Beats Buzzard's Bay in 11-Inning Thriller
Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Kelowna Rockets and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats.

The Kelowna Rockets used the hitting of center fielder Shane Thompson to subdue the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 4-3, in 11 innings. For the game, Thompson was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Alan Moors picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. John Heyes was tagged with the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Thompson hit a fastball from John Heyes for a solo home run. The Rockets, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Antonio Moreno, the Kelowna skipper. "This one tested us."

Kelowna is now 7-11.
