Rice Leads Carson City to 7-4 Win with 3 Jacks
Matthew Rice impressed in the 7-4 Carson City win over Rock River. Rice, who is tied for 8th in the TAA in RBI with 14, belted 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Rico Rios earned the win for Carson City. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. Trevor Baker recorded the save, his 5th.

Rice had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 curveball from Brett Bunn, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Mustang a 5-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Rice.
