Justin Sabin had a good game, but he could not keep the Murraysville Peacocks from falling, 9-8, to the Beaumont Drillers at Red Bull Stadium. The Murraysville first baseman was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 in the loss. Beaumont reliever Jacob Allen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nick Tullo was saddled with the loss. Now 5-15, the Peacocks have gotten off to a poor start.

Beaumont used the hitting of Kyle Brunner to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Drillers on top, 9-4. For the game, Brunner had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Brunner.
