Cray, Wolverines Too Much for Beehive
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Madison Beehive and Wichita Wolverines get after it.
The Wichita Wolverines defeated the Madison Beehive, 9-2, at Howling Park. Wichita shortstop Tom Cray had a superb performance. He was 1-1 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Wichita has a mark of 8-13 after the win.
Early in the game, Cray had a 3-run home run for Wichita. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Wolverines on top, 4-1.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Wichita skipper Abel Keller.
