Niagara Falls Rocks Madison, 20-2
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Madison Beehive came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters got production up and down the lineup while beating the Madison Beehive, 20-2. One standout was second baseman Geoff Sappington. Sappington, who is tied for 6th in the TAA in RBI with 21, was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Mario Lopez earned the win for Niagara Falls. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1.

Niagara Falls won the game in part because of Chase Carter. The right fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Pipe Fitters ahead, 3-0. For the game, Carter had 1 double and 1 home run in 2 at-bats.

Said Madison manager Jim Edwards after the blowout loss: "They did pretty much every facet of the game better than we did and that's why we lost."

Madison falls to 3-23.
