The 4-2 Beaumont win over Adirondack was due largely to Adam Buxton. The Drillers designated hitter was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Earl Hickman in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Zach McDermott took the loss. Adirondack falls to 14-9.
With Beaumont leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Buxton hit a fastball from Mike DiNardo for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 2-0.
Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro praised his team's "energy."
