Black Bears Turn Back Carson City, 5-3
|
Justin Hornick had a strong outing for the Fraser Valley Black Bears against the Carson City Mustang at The Stetson Bowl. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Armando Gimenez finished the game for Fraser Valley and earned his 9th save. Carson City is 12-12 after the defeat.
Fraser Valley shortstop Mark Lane helped the Black Bears go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Lane hit a run-scoring single off Carson City pitcher Jon Adams.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Lane told the Fraser Valley Bulletin.
