With 11-6 Win, Cornhuskers Improve to 14-11
The DeKalb Cornhuskers welcomed the Madison Beehive to an night game at The Corn Crib.

The inspired effort of Madison third baseman Nick Hill was not enough to prevent a loss, 11-6, to the DeKalb Cornhuskers. Hill hit 2 home runs. DeKalb sits at 14-11 in the early going.

The Cornhuskers got a big hit from pinch hitter Rich Alarcon. In the bottom of the seventh, Alarcon smacked a 2-run double off Madison pitcher Gary Mims. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the Cornhuskers were ahead, 6-5.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Alarcon said.
