A good performance from second baseman Nick Ellis helped the Boise Hawks defeat the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 11-8. Ellis went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Hawks. Alejandro Garcia collected his 6th save. Black Mountain drops to 14-13.

Boise used a timely hit from Charlie Harms to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Ellis told the Boise Gazette.
