Niagara Falls Rallies for 7-5 Win
Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters starter Joe Singer pitched a strong game against the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Corn Crib, leading the Pipe Fitters to victory, 7-5. Niagara Falls reliever Joe Singer got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Jeff Oyster was tagged with the loss. Steve Hoefling earned the save for Niagara Falls, his 4th of the year.

Jeffrey Hicks, who is tied for 5th in the TAA in triples with 2, helped out the Niagara Falls cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Hicks. "It sure beats the alternative."

The win gives Niagara Falls a record of 21-8.
