Peacocks Score Late to Beat Rockets, 3-2
|
Murraysville Peacocks starter Justin Weathersby turned in an exceptional performance against the Kelowna Rockets at Red Bull Stadium, resulting in a Murraysville win, 3-2. The Rockets fall to 14-18 and continue their uneven start to the 2064 season.
Juan Sanchez was the walk-off hero for Murraysville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Peacocks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Peacocks manager Joseph Kelley.
